That is so unusual that the zoo didn’t separate her to give birth. Sometimes they let the sister or grandma gorilla with her for support n guidance but never the other baby or the silverback just to be safe he doesn’t hurt them out of stress or rejection n more importantly so they can bond for the first 24-48 hrs while she cleans n nurses the baby but that looked amazing as the sister even her baby n daddy just left he be n watched til she gave birth n picked him up before they came to see n especially seeing D’jeeco just watch his son being born n protect them both! So awesome to watch
Iriki looks so content and relaxed. She already is a mommy pro gently cleaning, and caring for her new baby (1:40). And then we switch scenes to Tayari dragging...I mean carrying Jabali in typical Tayari tomboy fashion (2:15). Smh 🤣. Jabali's alright though. He's a happy healthy 7 month old now spending time exploring the grassy area away from his tomboy mother. 😂
The difference in mommying is night and day between the two. Today, you see Jabali takes after his mom and Ringo his. They are both my boys but Tayari…is something else❤

我發現iriki抱剛出生的小寶寶出來時，另外兩隻會一前一後左顧右盼，好像保鑣在保護iriki母子的安全，很感動！
最近很愛看大猩猩, 感覺很平靜自然
前幾年去木柵動物園，看到獨居的迪亞哥，真的覺得牠像是得了憂鬱症一樣，我當時還拍到了幾張牠孤單憂鬱的神情，
現在看到這個影片，真的替當了爸爸的迪亞哥感到開心☺
和人類好像，如果能自由自在生活在大自然中，應該更幸福
在大自然中雖然比較自由，但危險係數太高了
真是低迷氛圍中的喜訊(●°u°●) 」
